Page after page

Page after page, our novel (TGWCL*) will take our readers on a journey, slowly revealing more and more elements of the setting, of the landscape, and of the characters. The storyline which might seem simple at first becomes more and more complex as the reader turns the pages of our book. The aim is not only to make the reader dream, but also to consider life differently, and to realize and acknowledge that often in life we see only a little part of the global picture, wrongly believing we know all the truth. And then, when years or decades afterwards we see the ultimate landscape in its beauty and immensity, we are awe-struck to have been for so long clung to the wrong beliefs.

Our aim is to positively disorient our readers, and to make them look at situations similar to the ones that arise in our modern world, from new angles and perspectives. We, authors of TGWCL*, do not content ourselves with the current status quo that reigns on Earth. We firmly believe that things can improve, that human beings can better themselves, and that a state of global peace in between human beings and with nature can be reached. The aim of our novel, TGWCL*, is to make our readers aware that another, better world is possible, if each person starts this change at a small scale, by making the right choices, by taking the right and fair decisions, and by listening no longer to cold, rational pragmatism, but rather to the voice of their conscience and their soul.

When looking at the first painting, did you imagine how the global picture would look like? This is the work of good novelists: surprising their readers, and making them feel awe-struck.

Also, did you wonder how the forest, seen from afar in this painting looks from within? You can imagine the answer by looking at the picture underneath, where for the first time you get a glimpse on two of the main characters starred in our novel. They are young, yes. Just a bit older than they seem in this drawing. The initials of their names are Fn* and Dr*.

You might wonder why we chose young characters to write a novel that is addressed to people of all ages. The answer is simple. Children and young teenagers have a lot of unharvested potential to offer to the world, because they have more imagination than adult persons, and the field of the possible in their minds is wider. If we want to bring our world to change, and improve, we need to enlarge the field of the possible, we need to think of novel ways of looking at life. And this is the very role of Fn* and Dr*, who live in a dreadful world, and who will do everything in their power, and beyond, to change their world.
